Tanu Bheda has been a part of Indian School Muscat since 1990 and graduated in 2005. She was awarded the Gokuldas Khimji Ramdas Award for being the Top Ranker in Commerce. The CBSE Board, Delhi, also awarded her a full scholarship programme. In addition to being a Top Ranker she devoted ample time in sporting activities and represented Indian School Muscat in India, United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
She pursued her Bachelors in Commerce (B.COM) at H.R College, Mumbai alongside a Fellowship in Insurance; from The Insurance Institute of India (III). Upon completion, Tanu Bheda moved back to the Sultanate Of Oman and started her own Insurance Broking / Consulting Company in the year 2009 – Armour Insurance Serivce LLC.
Being an Indian growing up in the Sultanate of Oman, Tanu Bheda plays an active role in contributing back to the society by being in Committee’s that are actively engaged with charities and NGO’s such as the Dar Al Atta, Association of the Welfare of Handicapped Children, Early Intervention Center for Children, Omani Society of Hearing Impaired, Oman Autism Society, Al-Noor Association of the Blind, National Nursery Montessori and Oman Cancer Association to create awareness and raise resources.
In May 2017, Tanu Bheda was chosen and featured by the prestigious magazine “The Woman” for her active role as a “Social Media Influencer”; She understands the importance of todays fast paced digitally connected world and would like to use this tool to benefit Indian School Muscat in reaching out to all the alumni’s spread across the globe.
