ISMA Football Event

Join us at the ISM Alumni Vs. ISM Students  & Faculty Football game & Networking event

Game Rules

  • 8 vs. 8 including goalkeepers

  • Minimum 5 players per team to kick-off a game

  • Maximum 11 players per team per game (i.e. 3 substitutes)

  • Football boots or trainers should be worn, Turf shoes are recommended. Any other form of footwear is not permitted.

  • Players will be provided team jackets/bibs that must be worn on top of the shirts at all times when on the field

  • No jewelry, watches or other dangerous items may be worn

  • Smart watches, fitbits and pedometers may be worn

  • Games are played on approximately 60×40 artificial turf field

  • Gametime 25 minutes

  • The Chief Game Referee may change the duration of both halves and/or half-time to ensure the match finishes by the scheduled time

  • No offside

  • All free kicks are direct unless otherwise stated by Referee

  • Opponents must be 5m away from the ball at the start of play, free kicks, corner kicks, and kick-ins

  • Opponents must be 5m away from the penalty area for goal kicks

  • The ball is in play when it is kicked and moves

  • No slide tackles. If a player slide tackles, it will be a foul against him and will be booked

  • Substitutions can only happen when the ball is not in play and in the halfway line

  • The goalkeeper may handle the ball inside the penalty area

  • After gathering the ball with their hands, goalkeepers must throw or roll the ball into play or place it on the floor and kick it (no drop kicks)

  • The ball must be played within 10 seconds of a save

  • The ball is in play when it leaves the penalty area

  • Interchange system (no maximum number of substitutions)

  • You not need to confirm with referee when making substitution

  • Decisions of the game referee are final
  • A total of 4 teams will be selected – 2 Alumni teams, 1 Student team and 1 Faculty team

  • The winner of the 2 games progresses to the Final and other teams are eliminated

  • If a team is late for the game by less than 5 minutes they will be penalized one (1) goal

  • If the team is not ready to take the field 5 minutes after the scheduled kick-off time they will forfeit the game

  • The Chief Referee for the game is the HOD of Physical Education ISM. All game decisions made by the Chief Referee are final and binding. In the absence of the HOD Physical Education, he may appoint someone else to take over the duties of the Chief Referee

Show up to cheer, meet other alumni and enjoy the experience of being in school again. Bring your family and friends to your alma mater and walk the grounds of the school that you all cherish.

This is an open to all event. So share the event with all your friends and help us gather as many ISM alumni as possible.
